Kledd ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information — name, email address, and password when you register.
- Wardrobe data — photographs and AI-generated classifications of your clothing items.
- Profile preferences — style vibe, occasion, language, and location (if permitted).
- Usage data — how you interact with the app, features used, and session information.
We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as device type, operating system, IP address, and crash reports, to maintain and improve the service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and personalise the Kledd service, including AI outfit suggestions.
- To process weather data alongside your location to generate context-aware recommendations.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features.
- To improve our AI models and product experience using aggregated, anonymised data.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI and image processing
Clothing images you upload are sent to Google's Gemini API for classification. Images are processed in real time and are not stored by Google for training purposes under our API agreement. Classified metadata (category, colour, tags) is stored in your account.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers necessary to operate Kledd (cloud hosting, AI APIs, analytics).
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the app's profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@kledd.co.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
8. Children
Kledd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Kledd after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
