Policy.
Kledd ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — including how to access, export, or delete your data directly through the app.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information — name, email address, and password when you register.
- Wardrobe data — photographs and AI-generated classifications of your clothing items.
- Profile preferences — style vibe, occasion, body measurements, language, and location (if permitted).
- Usage data — how you interact with the app, features used, outfit plans, and session information.
- Style scores and XP — gamification data generated from your activity within the app.
We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as device type, operating system, IP address, and crash reports, to maintain and improve the service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and personalise the Kledd service, including AI outfit suggestions and wardrobe management.
- To process weather data alongside your location to generate context-aware outfit recommendations.
- To classify clothing images using AI and store the resulting metadata (category, colour, tags) in your account.
- To process background removal on clothing images using our image processing service.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features.
- To improve our product experience using aggregated, anonymised data. We do not use your personal wardrobe images or data to train AI models.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI and image processing
Clothing images you upload are sent to Google's Gemini API for classification. Images are processed in real time and are not stored by Google for training purposes under our API agreement. Background removal is handled by our own image processing service; processed images are stored in your private, encrypted storage bucket and are only accessible to you.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. All wardrobe images are stored in a private bucket with strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies — only you can access your own images. No image is publicly accessible without a time-limited signed URL generated specifically for your authenticated session. We use TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest across all storage layers.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers necessary to operate Kledd (cloud hosting, AI APIs, analytics).
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.
6. Your rights — managing your data in the app
You have full control over your data directly from the Kledd app. No need to email us first. From Profile → Privacy & Security you can:
- Request a copy of your data — tap "Request my data" and we'll email you a full export of everything we hold about you within 30 days.
- Delete your account — tap "Delete account" and confirm. Your account and all associated data (wardrobe items, images, outfits, profile) will be permanently and irreversibly deleted within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email with a one-time link to finalise the deletion.
Both actions are confirmed via a one-time email link to ensure security. If you have any issues, you can also contact us at privacy@kledd.co.
7. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.
8. Children
Kledd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us at privacy@kledd.co and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Kledd after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
